BIO
Hi. I’m Sue Haid (aka Susan). I have always loved to draw,
paint and make things. As a little girl, I liked to “hole up” and draw. It is
where I connected with myself and unknowingly discovered “flow.” After a full and satisfying 30+ career in
urban planning, design and sustainability in the public sector and shepherding
3 beautiful daughters with my husband, Hugh into adulthood, I am very grateful
for the time to reconnect with and explore my passion of art.
Over the last 3
years, I have been focussing on drawing and painting through many workshops as
well as studio and plein air work - essentially working on my 10,000 hours to
further my abilities in creating art and expressing meaningful moments. This
website is a tool for me to organize and track ideas, progress and emergence in
this wonderful chapter of life.
I am fairly introverted and shy by nature, so
this is a step for me to communicate and share what I’m exploring. I would
really appreciate any feedback you may have (e.g. do my various pieces of work
elicit a response in you? +ve, -ve,, neutral, curiosity, memory? What do you
think of the website? What changes would you make? etc.). It will help me
immensely in my journey.
